Here at Skihut, we’re excited to introduce our newest brand of E-bikes. Alongside Trek, Salsa, Specialized, and Santa Cruz, we are now offering Troxus! Troxus brings a new and exciting category to our e-bike line; now, we have class 2 throttle e-bikes. We brought in several models that excite us. The Lynx Plus 20, the Trax 1.0, and the Trax LT. In this blog post, I’ll go through and discuss each of the models mentioned above, explain why we brought each onto our sales floor, and discuss a few other exciting options.
For starters, the Lynx Plus 20 is a do-everything bike. Equipped with 20” fat tires, it can handle our Duluth pavement and go off the beaten path. The bike has an 86NM Bafang motor, meaning steep hills feel like nothing. You can choose to use the pedal assist up the hill and get a workout or enjoy a free ride and go straight up the steep avenue with just the throttle. If you want to go for some longer rides, The Lynx will have no problems; with a 960 Wh battery, you can for all-day rides with a peak range of 90 miles. The Lynx can even be your commuter/ errand bike; you can haul anything you need with a built-in rear rack. If you see yourself using the Lynx as your primary way of doing errands, go for the Lynx Cargo, and if you want to be able to easily bring the Lynx with you everywhere, go for the Lynx folding. You’ll have a smile no matter which version of the Lynx you go with.
The other Troxus line that we brought in is the Trax lineup. Specifically, we brought in the Trax 1.0 and Trax LT. If you’re looking for an upright comfort bike perfect for cruising along the North Shore or the Munger Trail, then the Trax might be for you. The Trax 1.0 comes equipped with a front suspension fork and a Troxus-designed suspension seatpost; with all the bumps and potholes in Duluth, it’s essential to have some built-in comfort. With 65nm of torque in the motor and a 500wh battery, you can go for long cruises and tackle any hills. The other Trax model on our floor is the Trax LT; if you’ve been wanting an e-bike but spending two thousand dollars is out of your price range, the LT for 1499 might be more in your price range. Previously, the lowest price bike we would have available to sell at Skihut was two thousand five hundred; now, we’re excited to have added Troxus to our lineup and can offer high-quality e-bikes at lower prices. The Trax LT is a lighter-weight, sleek e-bike with a front suspension fork, a 480wh battery, and a 50 nm torque motor. If you find yourself struggling pedaling up a steep hill, just use the throttle, and you’ll fly right up it. If you’re looking for increased efficiency and a fantastic ride feel, upgrade and go for the Trax Mid-Drive.
Here at Skihut, we’re excited to have Troxus as a brand. With e-bikes becoming increasingly popular, it only makes sense for us to bring in another brand of E-bikes that are more accessible to more people. Troxus backs up its product with a 5-year warranty on manufacturing defects; you don’t see other e-bike brands in Troxus’s price range with that solid warranty. You also have the benefit of Troxus bikes coming with solid componentry that our mechanics recognize and know how to service. We see e-bikes purchased online come in for service all the time with an issue that our mechanics can’t fix because they simply can’t order that part; we don’t have that issue with Troxus. You can purchase Troxus online, but I strongly suggest coming to us.
